My First…

The January challenge is titled My First… and it's not a usual challenge! This is more about the story that comes with your fold than the model itself. We wish you to inspire us with your first in 2026.

“Your first” could be as simple as your first model to fold this year.
It could be your first creation in 2026.
It could be your first-ever tessellation, or your first Roam Diaz. If you haven't done that yet, maybe it's a good resolution for 2026! 
It could also be the first model you ever folded, if you are young enough to remember that.
Anything goes, as long as it is your first! And please, add your story with it!
 

My first model this year is an Ostrich, by Ligia Montoya, and it's part of a legacy preservation project I am taking part in, making a book of her works! Since there are hardly any diagrams, Laura Rosenberg is taking videos of herself unfolding the original models, and together we try to reverse engineer the folding process, literally!
