I started origami in 1985, started designing in 1998, started a website in 2001, now named orihouse.com.
I try to catch the essence of an object for my origami designs. Like my most famous model the two fold Santa, where I catch the image of a Santa Claus with hat and bag in only two folds.
Most of my designs are stars, boxes, envelopes, cards, modulars, simple tessellations. I tend to start designing if I need something, so most of the time it ends up being useful. I will try to upload diagrams of my work to instagram once in a while.
Furthermore I am interested in tessellations.
Frank van Kollem is a Dutch tessellator from the 1970ies. I tried to refold some of his designs. You can find them on my Flickr pages.
I published 3 books, Folding for Fun, Made in Holland and Unusual Modulars. The latter contains only models by Denver Lawson. If available they are for sale through my website.
