About Daniela
I’m an Italian origami creator, member of Centro Diffusione Origami since 1997.
I graduated as an Aerospace Engineer, and my actual job is heading the Quality System Improvement department in the major Italian aero-industry.
Born in 1970, I started folding paper at the age of 3, loving paper boots and aeroplanes. My first origami book was given to me at the age of 5. Since 1994 I create my own origami models. During the years I designed over 500 original projects, mostly figurative origami, using a wide range of techniques and paper kinds.
My models were published in convention books and periodic publications of the European Origami Associations. With the CDO I published two booklets “Origami in ordine sparso” in 2007 and “Origami 2D” in 2016.
I was invited as a special guest in three national conventions:
2015 AEP (Asociación Española de Papiroflexia) Convention in Barcelona
2017 Origami USA Convention in New York
2018 Origami Genève “10èmes Rencontres Suisses d'Origami”
