Andrés Sánchez

I'm Andrés Sánchez. I have been origamist for most of my life. I have folded since I was a child and eventually have impregnated this activity with some of my profession, the biology. When I design a figure of origami I like to experiment with different possibilities, papers and results, this exploration has led to my work focuses on the transformation and how the folded figures are communicated between them. In other words, my designs are part of the same nature. I'm Colombian and currently living in Buenos Aires.

I have published diagrams in various books and magazines in several countries. I have participated in some collective origami exhibitions as well as in the formation of some origami groups in the city where I grow up, Bogota. Currently I participate in the CFC as editor of the monthly newsletter.
