The Winged Mouse, by Peter Buchan-Symons

When I first saw this work I was attracted by the concept of the winged mouse. The original is a squatting mouse with bird wings. But in my mind's eye I can see the image of a mouse with butterfly wings flying over flowers. So I changed the shape of the wings and made it a huge butterfly wing, adding more details and veins and making the wing duo color. The adjustment of the body part was changing the head to form new eyes and chin. It was suspended in the air as if it were flying to get this final shot.
