Peter Buchan-Symons

Like many young folders, I was originally captivated by the intricacy of complex origami as soon as I encountered it. For me, this was thanks to Robert Lang's Origami Insects and Their Kin which I steadily worked through at the age of six. I started designing my own models shortly afterwards and joined the British Origami Society, teaching models at conventions throughout my teenage years.
After studying mathematics at Oxford, I taught maths at a secondary school, then worked for a software company. Now I do origami full time (mostly), where I find my primary concern is to make origami of all difficulty levels more accessible. This is a slow journey I am taking (i.e. I'm not an expert yet!), and I am always delighted to hear fresh insights for how we, the origami community, can make folding as approachable as possible.
