About Gerardo
Gerardo was born and lives in Bogotá, Colombia.
Through Gerardo's conceptual work, he demonstrates a fascination for the rich potential of the arts to sensitize the observer and question the status quo. It also shows his admiration for the artists and their ability to see and think about the world in unique ways. Aside from this type of work, Gerardo has designed a variety of boxes and some envelopes, but also out-of-the-ordinary practical models such as "Fireplace Bellows" and "Grabber".
Although he hasn't had formal studies in design or the arts, Gerardo has taken independent workshops and courses on design with paper, also product and packaging design, and on the appreciation of the visual arts and the collective creation in theater. His work has been exhibited in libraries and university institutions, including a solo exhibition at the Colombian School of Design and the Arts - ESDIART in 2015.
