Coral Romà

I’m a Catalan origamist living in Germany. I work as a freelance translator and proofreader. Since I became passionate about folding, my wish has been to share the joy of folding and to help to reveal the fascinating world of origami through workshops, courses and on any occasion that presents itself in my daily life.

For me origami is a wonderful art and a path to develop the own creativity, a great way to connect with people and a gorgeous educational and teaching tool. I’m learning about folding history and trying to draw attention to the preservation and dissemination of this valuable heritage. I enjoy discovering the connections of origami with other scientific and humanistic disciplines and with the manifestations of the folding in the natural world. I love to fold things I can play with.

I have done origami workshops in schools, local associations, events, in the framework of solidarity projects and in origami meetings and conventions. Since 2016 I’m involved in the organization of the folding didactic conventions FALTIK in Germany and APLEC in Catalonia.

I’ve created a little bunch of easy origami models along the years. I’m happy to contribute this way to the shared rich repertoire of origami, from which I have learned and enjoyed so much.
