Crystal Rose (6x6)

The square twist is the basis for many of Kawasaki's roses and also a commonly used twist in square grid tessellations, so it should come as no surprise that Kawasaki made rose tessellations. This is a simpler tessellation (compared to Bridal Rose, which is folded on an angle for more fluid connections between flowers) but still a fun exercise. 12" magenta aurora paper had plenty of space for a 6x6 pattern, and adds a delightful shimmer to the piece, which fit almost perfectly into an old origami frame (by Sweet Paper) that I had used for another project.
