The book recommendation by Giang Dinh (from the back cover of the book):

József Zsebe's "simple" and expressive works really caught my eye back in 2002 when I bought his first book.
You can consider him a purist, having designed from an uncut square only. I was impressed to see that his bison and bear in that book take less than 20 steps to fold but are very lifelike.
He has gone a long way on his own path since, quietly working on his own project and perfecting his works. At a time when most origami designers like to create realistic and complex pieces, József focuses on capturing the essence of his subject in a few folds. Using paper very efficiently, his creations are deceptively simple looking and have a sculptural quality.
The diagrams have not that many steps, but it is not easy to fold the figures in this book. You will need to practice many times to get a good result and by doing so, you will obtain a new folding skill- sculpting and adding your own touch - I think the author would love to see that.
I can feel life in his work, his love for animals, and the great care and effort he put into the design of this book.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful word with us, József.
