More Origami Projects
More Origami Projects was my second collection of models. It followed from Origami Projects. It included models developed while Origami Projects was being developed. Some of the models were developed further and published in commercial projects. In the second edition I have included some revised instructions for models that have been developed since the first edition. I have revised the hedgehog and added legs, in addition the squirrel has been revised. The first squirrel was a modification of the kanagaroo. This was developed for a commercial commission for the Ubuntu operating system. The revised instructions create a squirrel with a larger tail and the model is more stylised than the original. The pop up box is one of my favourite models with a very satisfying reveal in the final steps. The koala and kangaroo were some of my first commissions both made when I was travelling through Australia. The koala was made for a shop window display for a shop called Made in Japan, the kangaroo was made for the Melbourne symphony orchestra as a gift to the Japanese to commemorate the inaugural flight from Melbourne to Kansai airport in Tokyo. In 2004 I embarked on working full time as an origami designer. This has given me many more opportunities to write and develop origami books. These include, the Carlton Origami Pack, Dr Who Origami and a series of four mindful origami books that include, Geometric, Boxes, Garden, and Boxes. Many of these were commissions and designed in conjunction with the respective publishers.
