About Yehuda
Yehuda Peled was born in April 1950 in Israel, in the town of Even Yehuda. He was an electronics engineer with a degree in electrical engineering from the Technion in Haifa, graduating with honors.

Yehuda began folding in the 1980s, inspired by the books of Robert Harbin and John Montroll. He started creating his own models when he wanted to fold the flowers of Israel which he loved so much, but had no folding instructions.

The models he invented were published in origami magazines in the Netherlands, the UK, Italy, the USA, Israel, and more. His first book, "Origami Flowers and Other Models," was published in 2015 and contains about 40 folds. His second book, written in 2023 and containing 13 models, was written while he was battling the terrible and terminal pancreatic cancer.

Folding, art, and the origami community brought joy to his life even during the difficult stages of his illness.

Yehuda passed away on January 18, 2025 in his home, surrounded by his wife and children.

May his memory be blessed forever.
