This owl is a design inspired by the Harry Potter mascot, HedWig and considers color changes in the eyes, beak and legs, and stands alone as it has a tail that acts as a third point of support.
I started with a very simple origami owl that is made with a fish base and then eyes, beak and feathers are drawn. Then I realized that to get more points it was better to use a composite base, half frog base and half bird base, which allow me to get more detail. A series of sink folds makes the folding sequence a bit more complex, however the result is quite good.
