BOS Spring Convention
Join us for our Spring 2026 convention in York, between 10th - 12th April, with all the usual activities, including… classes to suit folders of all levels, supplies, library, informal folding, exhibition, model review and more. We're also delighted to welcome two special guests; Robert J. Lang, from California, USA, and our very own Wayne Brown.
We're pleased to announce that Tuttle are sponsoring this event, and will be supplying a pack of 100 sheets of their patterned papers (Rainbow, Tie-Dye or Kimono), for every attendee.
Online booking will open 1st January. Bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis, and will close on 27th March or when we reach capacity.
If you’re not able to join us for our convention, you may still be interested in purchasing a Convention Polo Shirt and/or a Model Collection from our Event Shop. Please bear in mind that these items can only be posted within the UK. But don’t delay, as they’ll go off sale on 15th March.
You may also like to buy a gift voucher, for a friend, or indeed, if you want to put some money on one side, for yourself. They are valid for a period of one year from issue, and can be redeemed either in part, or in full, against convention bookings or anything in our Event Shop* (multiple gift vouchers can be redeemed against the same order if desired).
Use the code: EarlyBird10 at checkout, to get 10% off all adult and concession convention tickets. This code will be valid through to, and including 31st January, but please be aware that it will expire at midnight GMT.
*P.S. If you intend to come to the event, Convention Polo Shirts and Model Collections can be booked with your tickets, without incurring any postage costs.
Special Guests
Robert J. Lang
Robert has been an avid student of origami for over fifty years, and is now recognized as one of the world’s leading masters of the art. He is one of the pioneers of the cross-disciplinary marriage of origami with mathematics and his design techniques have been adopted by origami artists worldwide. He has consulted on applications of origami to medical devices, air-bag design, and space telescopes, is the author, co-author, or editor of twenty-one books and numerous articles on origami, and lectures on the connections between origami, mathematics, science, and technology. You can see Robert’s work on his: website.
Wayne Brown
Wayne is a prolific, yet modest origamist, whose fifty years of folding have produced a remarkable range of work. Known for simplifying subjects without losing their character, he has created dozens of models – including his well-known pureland panda – and countless much-loved cats. Although he seldom appears in front of the camera, his creations speak for him through a growing collection of diagrams and a forthcoming book he hopes to share at the next convention. Wayne is also an honoured recipient of the BOS Sidney French Medal, and looks forward to sharing more models with everyone at the upcoming BOS event.
