2025 Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale “Paper & Water”

Artists worldwide are invited to submit their work for the 2025 Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale, themed “PAPER & WATER,” taking place from November 1, 2025, to February 28, 2026, in the vibrant coastal city of Shanghai, China.

Celebrating a decade of innovation and creativity, this milestone biennale—held in conjunction with the IAPMA Congress 2025—welcomes two- and three-dimensional paper artworks utilizing any technique, from casting and folding to pulp painting, papier-mâché, encaustic, and beyond. All forms of paper art are encouraged, including book art, collage, fashion, jewelry, and installations, with up to three submissions per artist. The exhibition will be juried by the Organizing Committee, comprising officials from the Shanghai Fengxian Museum and the Biennale team. Artists are also invited to consider donating their exhibited works to the museum’s collection at the close of the event.
