2025 Kogei World Competition

The Executive Committee of the Triennale of Kogei in Kanazawa, in conjunction with Kanazawa City and other local organizations, invites artists of all nationalities and ages to submit their innovative craft works to the 2025 Kogei World Competition in Kanazawa, Japan. Since 1995, the World Craft City Conference and the Kogei World Competition have been held to preserve and promote the culture of craft—kogei—in the world. This competition aims to showcase the vanguard of craft by recognizing works that utilize refined techniques and outstanding concepts in genres like ceramics, metalwork, textile, lacquer, wood, bamboo, glass, paper, and more. A Grand Prize of 1,000,000 JPY and other awards are offered, with selected works displayed at the 6th Triennale of Kogei in Kanazawa from November 8-26, 2025.
