Camp Gallery - Don't Be Absurd Annual Fiber Exhibition
USA
The Contemporary Art Modern Project (CAMP Gallery) is issuing an open call for fiber artists to participate in the 7th anual fibre exhibition "Women Pulling at The Threads of Social Discourse: Don't be Absurd," opening October 10, 2025 in Miami, Florida.
This show explores themes of absurdism, drawing inspiration from works like Kafka's "The Metamorphosis," Camus's "The Stranger," and Beckett's "Waiting for Godot." Artists may propose one or more pieces, using threads, weaving, tapestry, embroidery, tufting, etc. Works can be abstract, figurative, geometric, etc.
Proposals must include practices related to fiber art, whether or not artists’ practices center the medium. The exhibition welcomes a diverse range of artists, including non-binary and male-identifying artists. This call has two deadlines: for large-scale work proposals it’s March 15, 2025, while general proposals are due by April 15, 2025.
