The Federation Gallery in Vancouver, British Columbia invites artists worldwide to participate in their upcoming exhibition “Works on Paper," from April 29 to May 11, 2025. This exciting opportunity challenges artists worldwide to push the boundaries of artistic expression while engaging with contemporary themes of sustainability and material explorations. As technology develops and artists are becoming more aware of the environmental impacts of their practice, this call invites them to work with different types of papers. Anything defined commercially as “paper” is a permissible substrate.

The exhibition welcomes 2D works in various media, including oil, acrylic, water media, pastel, encaustic, pen and ink, pencil, graphite, and hand-pulled prints (editions under 200). Artworks must be original, demonstrate concept and manipulation of materials, and be finished to archival standards. All subjects and styles are permitted.

This is an in-gallery exhibition with online representation; accepted artists must deliver their work to Vancouver. The exhibition promises recognition through awards and potential catalogue inclusion, offering artists a prestigious platform to showcase their innovative paper-based creations.
