Legolas, by Eric Joisel

This is an interpretation of Eric Joisel's Legolas. Starting with a rudimentary rough crease pattern sketch found in the book "The Magician of Origami", the model was reverse-engineered and shaped using limited reference material. The model was folded with a 75x75cm sheet of Wenzhou rice paper treated with MC, and stands at a height of 30cm on a raised block. The entire folding process is documented through pictures for future reference and as a resource for origami artists who aspire to recreate this iconic masterpiece by Eric Joisel. Shaping was achieved mainly through wetfolding and using thick MC paste.
