Folded in June 2024, this model is based on a windmill base. Since this design is very efficient with the paper, it is possible to make this model with smaller squares of paper, such as 15 cm kami. Despite this efficiency, the model remains a modest challange with its assymetry and the unique, but effective methods through which the colour changes are produced. Generally, when a 4 flap base is used to create a 2D colour change model, 4 "islands" or sections of colour are incorporated into a model. Notably, this model is able to add an additional island of colour through manipulation of the top left flap.
Lastly, the creative usage of the windmill base for this model highlights that there is complexity hidden in seemingly simple bases.
