This model has a long story with the happy end (unlike the real Ophelia). The first drafts were made ten years ago. I tried to fold Ophelia several times, kept forgetting about her for years and then remembering again. The model is very simple but I was never satisfied with the results until the last try. I wanted to show it at my biggest solo exhibition, and this time things just worked out right.
The colors and foam represent the water element. Just like Aphrodite was born from the sea foam, Ophelia found peace returning back to the primal waters. Hopefully.
