This model can almost be seen as an interpretation of my own design, since I completely changed, what the model looks like after collapsing its base. Originally I had wanted to make it into a chunky steampunk creature with lots of pipes all around its body. I tried a new method of dying the paper, which I had hoped would turn into a warm grey, but instead it turned into a blue-ish grey. Still I folded the model to its base, but it didn't sit right with me. Luckily I had recently watched the Pirates of the Caribbean movies again, so I saw the potential to turn the model in to a deep sea creature, which turned out to work wonderfully. Happy little accidents.
