An architect's fever dream

This past year, I have expanded on Erik Demain's works with creased disks of paper. By using concentric folds alternating between mountain and valley on a disk, it is possible to create unexpected shapes depending on the angle of creasing that you apply around the disk.

What I love most about this folding technique is how creative you can be with it. You can study infinitely different shapes and compositions with only one crease pattern.

An architect's fever dream is a good portrayal of what can be achieved with this folding technique. By intertwining the disk like a knot, complex shapes emerges. Additionally, the duality between the crossing horizontal and vertical "branches" gives character to the model.
