My aim with this work was the create a subject that I previously thought was not technically feasible; something to make the viewer ask "how is this possible?"
The inspiration for the piece came from a metal sculpture of the same subject that I saw nearly two years ago. I remember thinking to myself at the time that certain subjects are impossible to successfully execute with origami; that feeling motivated this piece.
