CFC project - Origami for the blind - looking for models
Submission Deadline
The Origami for Visually Impaired Project seeks for a few new models to translate into verbal instructions. All we need are the diagrams. We have a group of volunteers who are willing to do all the hard work.
So, if you have a suitable model (see later), just send me the diagrams. It will be immigrated to verbal instructions, proofread, and test-folded, and once approved it will be uploaded to the CFC website, under your profile.
We wish to include the diagrams with the verbal instructions, so if the blind person is supported by a sighted person, he will have the diagrams as a reference.
If you wish, send us an image as well, so we can add it to the verbal instruction.
What are suitable models?
In general, blind folders are just like any other folder, and they love all genres. Some will tend to practical models, others love stars, and some wish to fold angles. Just like sighted people.
Modulars are welcome.
Tessellations are still new to blind people, and although doable, we prefer to skip this for now.
As we just started this project, we would rather have short diagrams, up to 20 steps. It will be easier to manage and execute.
