This piece uses a rotated grid and shifted pleats to create a textured border around the repeats of the titular open triangle stars. These stars appear to be floating on a triaxial weave in which the "strips" go all the way through. The balance of density with spaciousness gives this tessellation a uniquely calming impact on the viewer.
