ARTIST IN RESIDENCE – GOT PAPER MILL SAINT LÉONARD DE NOBLAT FRANCE (Deadline Sep 01, 2022)

The team of the Moulin du Got welcomes, each year in residence, an artist to open its doors to contemporary creation and to enrich each other. The traditional know-how of handmade paper, the trades and materials of the printing and graphic arts are as many riches made available to the artist for his research and creations. In this privileged setting, he can realize a work in progress or conceive a new project. The duration of the residency is fixed at 6 weeks. It can be fragmented and defined with the artist, but it must take place during the fall/winter period, which is more suitable for the resident.
The proposed stay is above all a moment of immersion, inspiration, dialogue and creation with the artisans, the place, its history and its know-how. The resident is free to work on his or her personal project. The artist nevertheless commits to devote half a day per week of residence to sharing his/her work with the public (school groups or others).
