Origami Professor Balthazar

Inspiration for this origami model is Professor Balthazar by Zlatko Grgić. He is the main character of a Croatian animated television series, the most successful project of Zagreb Film, produced between 1967 and 1978. Professor Balthazar does not have enemies, resolves problems with imagination and wisdom, without using violence. He is the popular mascot of the Science Picnic, the largest science‐popularization event in Croatia. Since 2013 Croatian Origami Society has been taking part in the event as one of the educators. One meter high origami Professor Balthazar is our landmark at the event.
