Artist Trading Cards

Create an origami model of an Artist Trading Card (ATC)... the whole card. It must display some sort of decoration, maybe an image, symbol, pattern, etc. using color changes if you like, or a tessellation instead, or some other type of folded embellishment.

  • The model's final size must be exactly 8.9 x 6.35 cm (3 ½ x 2 ½ in), not smaller or bigger than that.
  • It cannot have tips or flaps that extend beyond those dimensions, and the model cannot be voluminous either. It must all fit inside a trading card sleeve.
  • Use any number of papers, of any shape and size.
  • You can use a ruler to get the right length and width, but it'll be even more impressive if you instead design a folding sequence that results in those dimensions without the ruler.

Once you've created your card model, please consider participating with it in an artist trading card swap. Different origami conventions offer them as part of their activities.

If you're interested, you can find more  information about artist trading cards and origami through the following link: https://www.neorigami.com/articles/artist-trading-cards-and-origami
