Merwoman, by Pei Haozheng

The original design is the Hippocampus. While folding and shaping it, I found the original offered ample room for modification, inspiring me to create an entirely new marine creature! It is a novel species, similar to a mermaid yet with a head more akin to a terrestrial animal. Its golden eyes glow with a wise and enchanting light, its large ears allow it to pick up sound waves from extreme distances, and it boasts massive dorsal fins, webbed palms, and a powerful, robust tail that lets it reach astonishing speeds in the ocean. I reworked the original caudal fin into a curled anal fin, like a blooming flower. It perches on a reef, chanting a mysterious melody to lure its prey near.
