Both the figure of Poseidon, his trident, and the ship were folded from a single sheet of double Wenzhou paper. The navy-blue side was chosen to capture the essence of the sea waves. The color change is handled thoughtfully, creating a balanced and harmonious composition.
Poseidon is depicted with powerful muscles and a dignified expression, rather than fierce. The ship, proportionally smaller, enhances the grandeur of the god as he rises amidst the surging ocean.
The photography setup, with its cinematic lighting and color tone, further conveys the storytelling spirit of the piece — a reflection on the frailty of humankind before the might of nature.
