This pattern creates surprising complexity with only open hexagon, closed rhombus, and closed triangle twists by using a brand new tiling that was developed specifically for this pattern with five distinct rhombus twist positions.
Furthermore, the pattern has been modified to enable a pleated border by changing select rhombus twists into triangle twists in accordance with the tiling breaks in the pattern.
