Lunar Crater

This piece attempts to achieve a "pseudo-3D" visual effect, appearing as a concave depression when viewed from specific angles. Designed to commemorate the Chinese Mid-Autumn Festival, my initial goal was simply to create a flagstone-style moon. However, after completing the inner layer, I suddenly challenged myself to nest an additional crescent layer around its outer edge. Unexpectedly, this final addition endowed the work with a striking three-dimensional effect.
